Annette McNeely's Story
Annette McNeely Johnson age 77, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017. Services will be held at Friday, March 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Burial will be at Memory Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Washington County but had made her home in Milledgeville for 60 years. She worked at J.P. Stevens and retired from Georgia Power. She was preceded in death by her parents Ola Shurling and Matthew McNeely, husband Wyman L. "Buddy" Johnson and brothers Thomas, Alex and Frank McNeely. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children Donald W. "Don" Johnson (Cheryl), Ronald "Ronny" Johnson (Denise), and Deborah Tapley (Ken), grandchildren, Tara Dixon (Travis), Donald Johnson (Brittiny), Brandi Richardson (Terry), Keith Johnson, Stacy Mead (Brandon) and Shawn Tapley (April), 13 great grandchildren and very special friend and caregiver Ashley Howard.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Savannah Court of Milledgeville for the wonderful care and compassion that they provided Mama during her stay there. We would also like to thank her caregivers from Southern Care Hospice for the aid and comfort they provided her during her final days.
In lieu of flowers donations in Annette's memory can be made to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital or The Alzheimer's Association.
