Anne Hardwick's Story
Macon: Anne Hardwick Reddick, 89, of Kingsley Drive, died Saturday, November 26, 2016. The services will be private.
Mrs. Reddick was born January 26, 1927, in Okeechubee, Florida. She grew up in Grady County, Cairo, Georgia and moved to Milledgeville, Georgia in 1964. Mrs. Reddick came to Macon in 1976. She was the daughter of the late Aaron Hardwick and Mamie Gainous Hardwick. Mrs. Reddick was a teacher for many years for the Baldwin County and Bibb County school systems. She earned multiple degrees beginning with Andrew College in Cuthburt, Georgia where she earned her associates degree, following this she attended Wesleyan College in Macon where she majored in music, then Troy State College where she received her bachelors degree and finally earned her masters degree at Georgia College in Milledgeville. Mrs. Reddick was preceded in death by her husband: Walker Homer Reddick, Jr.; son: Anderson Hardwick Reddick; and her brothers: Dennis Hardwick, John Hardwick and Vernon Hardwick.
Mrs. Reddick is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Walker and Susan Reddick; sisters: Shirley Poe of Greenville, South Carolina and Lotis Barrett of Moultrie, Georgia; grandchildren: Anderson Reddick and Cullen Reddick; and great-granddaughter: Evelyn Reddick.
