Alice Bell Alford's Story
Alice Bell Alford Dunn, 87, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunn was born in Putnam County but had made her home in Milledgeville. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Ervin and Alice Johnson Alford; her husband, Lyman Augustus Dunn Jr.; two sons, Earl Kilgore Jr. and Kenneth Dunn; and a daughter, Sharon Wheeler. She was a member of Knowles Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Frankie Strickland of Tennille, Chris Dunn (Sandra) and Darrell Dunn of Ivey, and a daughter, Kay Dunn of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Leona Strickland, Kimberly Story (Eric) of Tennille, Jennifer Thames (Todd), Curtis Wheeler, Lynwood Dunn (Danielle), Andrew Dunn (Shay Aycock), Jessica McDaniel (Jason), Jennifer Bonner (Brad), Nikki Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Chase Dunn; great-grandchildren, Tyson, Mason and Laney Thames, Megan Dunn, Harley, Jessica, Ashley Smith, Zack and Drew Dunn, Natalie and Nathan McDaniel, Annabell, Lilly, and Abbey Bonner, Emilee, Blake and Bella Dunn, Cole Dunn; other nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
